With a bachelors degree in fine arts I found myself in the competitive field of graphic design and from there into a career in marketing and public relations for a fine art supply company. After working there for almost a decade I decided I needed a change. As an artist, I always enjoyed working with my hands. Massage therapy offered another way to express myself. I found that I connected with the techniques and that they came to me naturally so I knew this was the path for me. As a massage therapist, my greatest sense of fulfillment is knowing that I'm helping people heal and relax by providing some peaceful balance in a hectic world.

Like myself, many of my clients suffered from neck and upper back pain. Stress that is mostly caused from 'everyday life' of a busy woman. When studying Myofascial Release*, I realized that these techniques worked especially well in the neck and upper back area so I have made these areas my specialty.

Genifer is a graduate of the Somerset School of Massage Therapy and a member of AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association).

* Myofascial Release:  Derived from the the Latin words "myo" meaning muscle, and "fascia" for band; Myofascial Release uses very effective hands-on techniques to ease pressure, eliminate pain and restore motion in the fibrous bands of connective tissue, or fascia, that encase muscles throughout the body.
